Sons of Anarchy
Season 2, Episode 205
Recap: “Smite”
As the Sons try to get back to business, the growing rift between Jax and Clay becomes more apparent. Clay makes a friendly visit to Zobelle, a welcome to Charming, along with a friendly reminder of the cost of doing business in his town. Zobelle, peeved by Clay’s arrogance, makes his next move, giving Weston the go ahead for Stockton.
At Stockton State Prison, Big Otto is attending to a work detail when he is attacked by three AB inmates. The vicious attack, initiated on Zobelle’s orders, leaves Otto beaten and blind in one eye. When the club gets news of the attack, a vote for retaliation is set, but not everyone is on the same page. Jax tries to get the rest of the club to look at the big picture and hold off on the retaliation until they know more about Zobelle and what they are dealing with.
Meanwhile, Zobelle and Weston make a visit to Charming P.D. They inform Hale that Clay tried to extort protection money from him. When that is not enough to sway Hale, Weston hands him two DVDs, the first implicating Opie in the methhouse bombing and the other showing what appears to be Hale taking a bribe from Darby. Unser notices Hale’s distress and reminds him that he needs to be the ‘good cop’ or the whole department will become a joke. To enlighten Hale on who Zobelle truly is, he shares Gemma’s secret about her attack.
Gemma, still suffering the physical and psychological repercussions from her assault, confides in Tara. Tara recommends some medication for her pain. As they exit the drug store Gemma spots Polly – she stops dead in her tracks. Polly takes off running. Gemma pulls the gun from her bag and gives chase. She watches Polly hop into Weston’s car and drive away. Tara grabs Gemma’s arm, startling her, and receives a brutal elbow to the nose. At the hospital, Tara gets patched up, then confronts Gemma about what happened. As Tara’s education continues, she uses some of Gemma’s persuasion techniques on Gemma herself, forcing her to see a shrink. Gemma, somewhere between pissed and impressed, agrees to do as Tara says.
As the club convenes for the vote, Jax makes his final plea to hold off on the retaliation for Otto’s attack. Each member casts their vote. They vote with Jax agreeing to wait on and figure out who and what they are up against before they act. Clay takes it hard, Bobby tries to assure him that this is the best move for now. The Sons depart from the clubhouse as the van we saw Gemma chase Polly away in being towed onto the lot. Chibs goes to move the van – when he tries to start the car, he realizes it’s rigged to explode. He manages to get out of the vehicle just before it detonates. The blast sends him flying, landing hard on his head. The guys rush to his aid as the blood quickly pools around his head.

Im puzzled as to why this outlaw motorcycle club is portrayed as the baddest of the bad asses wreaking havoc all over the west coast with violence, murder and terror. Yet,one of their leaders wears sissy white sneakers like some fairy on Project Runway.
Can you explain that?
By Jim on September 30th, 2009 at 1:30 pmI can’t explain the “white sneakers” but all i know is that Jax is one sexy man. I love this show. It is the only show on that I must watch every week. I make sure I don’t miss one minute of it. Love the fact that Tara is now Jax’s “old lady”.
By Mellie on September 30th, 2009 at 2:39 pmI just wanted to say one thing to Jim : You say he’s a “sissy” for wearing white sneakers, but yet your the one watching the “fairies” on Project Runway, so who’s the real sissy ???
By Amy on September 30th, 2009 at 2:48 pmi agree with jim. the leader’s name is clay and he’s a douche. he always tries to act tough and wear’s that fag-ass helmet that is made for a 6 year old. plus, he goes on and on to jax about not doin **** to help out the club. clay’s the one who hired Tig to shoot Opie, but shot opie’s wife instead. Opie used to be one of my favorites, but in the last episode he told clay he’s behind him 100%. the club is fallin apart!! anyway, i’m done ranting and it’s my favorite show
By Aaron on September 30th, 2009 at 3:13 pmOK. I am waiting for Gemma to square her shoulders and stop being afraid. If I have this character pegged right, she’s a fighter, not someone who walkes around afraid of her shadow. I don,t mean for her to take the law into her own hands. She’s protected her family, now, it’s time to take back control of her life and let these idiots know it.
By Rhea Cormier on September 30th, 2009 at 3:24 pmMy view of Opie has changed as well. Last season Opie told Jax while they were loading up the last of their guns to sell, how Clay would not be able to turn a throttle soon and that Jax will then be in charge and everything would be better…so is he a two faced Punk!?
I think Unser will TCB for Gemma. He doesn’t have anything to loose with his cancer being terminal.
Great show…
By Hawkeye on September 30th, 2009 at 4:18 pmI can’t wait for this episode. I am really excited about it. I love they way they dress Jax even those lovely white shoes. Don’t change a thing about that sexy man. I am happy that the roles are changing and that Tara is at ol’lady’s status. I think Gemma is going to come out of this swinging. The only thing that saved that rapist was that he was talking to his kids. Unser is gonna help Gemma, but first she has to tell the whole story to him or Tara. She has to get it out so that her head can be clear to plan the revenge. I wait patiently every Tuesday. Great job cast and crew! Keep it coming because you have a loyal fan for life.
By pacspoon on September 30th, 2009 at 4:28 pmI LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this show…Jax is the man! It’s the only show I know the channel, date and time it comes on. Gemma needs to pull herself together…she should of blow that perv away last night! C’mon Gemma that is ssssooooo not you. Too bad we didn’t get to see any body parts of Jax last night….love you Charlie, my sister and I are your biggest fans. The whole cast is great –everyone of you adds value to the show!!! SOA ROCKS!!!
By Sis on September 30th, 2009 at 5:24 pmLove this show. I have trouble watching many series, in that achieving suspension of disbelief is hard for me. Mother was a stage actor, my Dad’s been on the big screen doing little parts for a long time.
On top of that, have worn a badge and know way too much about certain organizations to watch NICS and shows like that with any hope of being drawn in.
BUT!! I don’t know jack about outlaw bikers from either side of the badge. So the fine actors and writers on this one give me my two hours of escape every week. ( I always watch the encore without fail)
IMO Charlie Hunnam does a crackerjack job. He needs more work on his accent when raising his voice, but overall very professional. If he never tried to yell, I would not be able to tell he’s a Brit.
Wish my dad would get a little part on the show. ( Maybe a judge, Unser’s brother in law?, Hale’s Uncle? Bobby’s Rabbi? ) I’ll never get a hug from Katey, but if Pop did it would be almost as good.
Random THoughts - Opie’s character is blissfully unaware of the circumstances surrounding his wife’s death. In that light, Jax’s animosity towards Clay reads like disloyalty to him - something bike gangs can’t afford.
The white sneakers are what some of the younger outlaws are going to, while the oldheads are still in boots.
The folks doing the casting deserve an award IMO. The cast synergy is fantastic. Outside of Katey ( She’s always a strong solid performer in my book) , IMO this is the best work any of them have done - and the premise is pretty far fetched. Well, maybe not Tommy Flannigan - but he’s doing solid work here in any case.
By Doug on September 30th, 2009 at 5:24 pmI agree Amy…Jim you are bitchen about Jax’s white tennis shoes but, yet you know the calibur of people on Project Runway? You have GOT to be ****ting me!
By Bro-ette on September 30th, 2009 at 6:13 pmIt’s not the shoes that make the man, it’s his loyalty to the club and he is not afraid of clay. Clay wears the crappy helmet cuz california makes you wear one. They are all wearing novelty looking ones not DOT. I think clay and gemma should retire on the beach somewhere and let jax and tara take over…the squirrel is bobby in the elvis outfit…whats up with that?
By hdbabe95 on September 30th, 2009 at 7:12 pmThe white tennis shoes: I am starting to wear tennis shoes when I ride. Much more comfortable when off the bike. My husband would not be caught dead on his bike with tennis shoes. I agree with Pacspoon. Unser is going to get retribution for Gemma.
By Annie Mae on September 30th, 2009 at 8:57 pmI think the white tennis shoes are what the younger bikers wear. The younger bikers I have seen dress just like Jax. As a matter of fact I thought that the costume designers got that totally right, and I thought that from the first episode. Not to mention, if you are running around and shooting at people, it is best not to do it in boots. They would be too loud and too heavy. Also, I don’t know if anyone has noticed, but it doesn’t appear Jax has much of a job. Docs (I am assuming that is what one might expect a biker to wear) are expensive for the unemployed. And since gun running is slow, funds must be down.
I also like the fact that no one is overly done up and no one looks plastic. That makes it look even more real.
The cast is great. There is a lot of talent there.
By josie on September 30th, 2009 at 10:18 pmI have to say I love all the cast. Jax is hot, Oppie is cute, but his bitterness is changing my view. Tatoo/mowhawk headed guy is contageously adorable with his silly attitude towards everything. I like the Irishman with the scare. I am a sucker for men with accents. I can’t wait to see what Unser does or for Hale to eat crow (Samcro)with his story line. Wonder what Hale will do when actually being in that position of authority. Gemma does need to quit being afraid. I am ready to see her take control. Wonder if Unser will help her to cut his manhood off. It is a win win that way. He is still around for his kids and won’t rape anyone again, at least not with his man tool. Maybe she can also use the porn stars trick and stick a bottle up his crack. Wonder how he would feel being violated. Just a thought! I am totally addicted to this show!
By Crickett on October 1st, 2009 at 12:14 amIts was great to see more bike rideing in the last episode hope to see more. Jim some bikers out on the west coast do wear sneakers what of it? They wear whats comfortable they have nothing to prove.Let me further explain Jaxs charater is base on a club member that he heard about who dress,s just the way he does.Thats why he wears white sneakers now you know.
By Trip on October 1st, 2009 at 6:03 amThis is going to be another great episode.
By Veronica on October 1st, 2009 at 6:10 amYa know… I’ve read in so many comments the complaints about:
Jax shoes
Almost the whole club on Dynas
The fairings
As far as the shoes go… there are clubs ALL over the country whose younger members wear sneakers… not just white ones either… and wear the baggy pants. Thats just the way they dress in that age group. Get over it.
While clubs with a lot of years behind them tend to ride whatever they could build from boxes of parts… again, some clubs tend towards the same bike.
The fairings… sheesh… give it rest. I haven’t seen them anywhere else but in California… mostly down south around Santa Monica… but that doesn’t mean others don’t use them.
Quit yer bitchin’, follow the plot line, and enjoy the show!
By Shadow on October 1st, 2009 at 6:41 amCan I just say Jax is HOT!!!! I want him.
By Ronnie on October 1st, 2009 at 10:03 amLet’s let go of the tennis shoe issue. This show is far more than that. The ratings it in getting this season are far better than last year, Damages and Rescue Me! It will surely guarantee another great season. Can’t wait to see what happens when Gemma finally tells all. The s**t will hit the fan. Remember the carnival rapist in season one? Looking forward to the rest of the season.
By East Coaster on October 1st, 2009 at 11:28 amYeah, Jax is a cutie but he could stand to ditch the baggie jeans already. What is he, 14?
As for Opie? Don’t be surprised if he is just playing Clay. Opie knows the score.
By Sunday on October 1st, 2009 at 12:15 pmWhen is Gemma going to go get a throw way truck and park it on that rapist chest. Hell she is the Matriarch of a Biker Gang, that makes her the Badest B!&#H on the show. Get her off her dead a$$ and have her take care of business. Personally I wanted her to run his a$$ over when he was sitting in the out house.
By Alan on October 1st, 2009 at 12:50 pmFor me, the sneakers are a safety issue, not a fashion faux pas. As far as the riding, this crew needs more practice. The run to the ‘blood drive’ had riders in the breakdown lane, in the dirt and over the lane markers. good thing they film on a closed road
By RCHaynes on October 1st, 2009 at 1:01 pmGood episode, so what’s the big damn deal with white freaking sneakers? Who cares? Enjoy the show!!! I thought that Gemma was gonna blow Henry Rollins’ brains all over the crapper for sure. I think things are going to hit the fan BIG TIME!! Opi is a doll!
By Ginger on October 1st, 2009 at 1:28 pmGG
What’s the deal with Chibs and the Irishmen? Obviously Chibs is a Scot, though It seems he has a Belfast connection. On the Eureka episode he appeared “upset” that some of the IRA Brigade leaders were coming to the U.S. His ‘Tiocfaidh Ar La’ comment (translated ‘Our day will come’) was translated by Chibs as ‘They’re day will come’. Is there some hidden animosity there? Does Chibs have an axe to grind with these IRA leaders?
By Mick on October 1st, 2009 at 2:36 pmOn last seasons dvd they explain the baggy jeans and white sneakers as something the younger generation does for comfort. Apparently their TA’s said that this is something that does happen, especially when the guys spend so much time on a bike they want their clothes to be as comfortable as possible. Makes sense to me!
I loved seeing Piney back in this last episode, it was awesome!
By SOAchic on October 1st, 2009 at 4:52 pmWhite sneakers, really? Wow, if your that hung up on waredrobe, you must be the damn sissy. Do these slacks match my parka? LOL, just watch the show, and make a life point not talk to any real MC guys like that.
By Nivek on October 2nd, 2009 at 6:37 amCome on !!Clay is the man..Jax is also just where he should be.Stop trying to retire the leaders for young ones,Look around you most all groups have older leaders, thats the way of it.Let this group stay just as is its great.Jax looks hot with the white shoes ,Heck he would look hot with no shoes lol..And Jim stop hateing on the group lolol,One day you may grow up to be a Jax or Clay lolol…Linda
By Linda on October 2nd, 2009 at 12:21 pmOnly thing worth watching on tv. Now I realize I live in my own little world and all but what I’d like to see is Gemma’s secret come out in the open. Then I’d like to see her get the punishment she deserves for keeping a secret that definately endangers the brothers in the club & could get someone killed. Also, when she did not shoot the guy who raped her, I lost all respect for her. As for Opie, I honestly don’t think he is that stupid. I think him,
By bobdude on October 2nd, 2009 at 8:02 pmJax and Piney have a plan and Opie is just trying to get Clay to “trust” him. Once Clay seems to trust Opie I think Opie will try to whak Clay. Only, realistically, its pretty obvious that before things get much farther piney is gonna TCB and that’ll be it. Of course the White Supremeist Dudes might take Clay out of the game first but I don’t think that’ll happen, Piney will do it. I’d also like to see Piney take over as Prez, even though Jax is VP.
I like Jax, but I’d look to Piney to Lead. Bobby will obvioussly side with the New Order of things, so will Chibs, Tig will also because he knows Clay would have left him to rot and the Prospect, well, the Probate won’t have any choice. After Gemma gets out of the hospital I’d like to see her hook up with Unser (who’s always loved her) and Hale won’t be around because when Ethan Zobelle realizes all is lost he will want to take everyone he can with him and he’ll say Hale is on his payroll! Also, I wouldn’t be too suprised “if” something didn’t pop up from Jax’s past to get him a grand jurry indictment and he goes away for a long time! Gotta feel
sorry for the brother in jail (I forget his name) but it looks like he’s gonna get hurt in the next episode, I liked him, but sometimes bad things happen to good people.
I know ya’ll don’t know me and probably HATE my Predictions, but in my little world…. this is how it will go down. Guess we just have to wait and see…….
Bobdude
Annie Mae, do you think sneakers are such a hot idea on a bike? What’s gonna protect your feet if you come off? A friend of ours got hit by an old age pensioner, would have lost his left foot had it not been for his boots.
Back on topic: really love the show, it has great energy and is using all aspects of “clublife” to put together a solid show.
By Mieneke on October 4th, 2009 at 2:51 amCan’t wait for season 2 to be aired on this side of the water!
HEY SONS IS A REALLY COOL SHOW. ITS JUST ABOUT AS REAL AS ANY IVE SEEN. AND IVE RODE WITH (OUTLAWBIKERS) CLUBS WHEN I WAS YOUNGER AN THIS SHOW JUST ROCKS!!!
By Roger Graham on October 4th, 2009 at 7:36 amSeriously guys whats with all the shoe talk… I don’t care what that boy wears he makes me melt. And Gemmas not scared. She knows what shes doing. She knows what would happen if the club found out, so she is going to take care of it herself. Him talking to his kid is the only thing that stopped her (shes been getting a lil soft since the baby came home). In some ways, I feel like Gemma runs the club more than Clay. The power is the woman behind the man.
The gang is really splitting up and I think everyone showed their alliances this week. The boys that jumped on the truck to save Tigg will follow Jax.
By Steph on October 4th, 2009 at 1:43 pmLove this show! Mr. Sutter you have to be proud of the results! Your storyline and cast are great. I can’t wait to see each episode. I’m already anticipating buying the Season 2 disk set. More networks have to start searching for well-written shows like SOA and NBC’s Friday Night Lights by Peter Berg. SOA Writers: please don’t destroy the relationship between Jax and Tara–that would be the start of the downfall!
By Love4Hunnam on October 4th, 2009 at 6:41 pmI agree, man. Shadow said it all.
By Dan on October 4th, 2009 at 7:09 pmI’m just a little annoyed. I LOOOOVE the show, don’t get me wrong. In this last episode I noticed they mentioned the towns Chico, Red Bluff and Eureka. Not sure if the writers are aware of the distance between the towns. Then when they passed off the guns to the Oregon Club,(assuming it was at the Oregon border) another dissapointment. The roads, hills, and environment didn’t even look the same as the corrosponding towns and places. Anyway…. Nothing is going to keep me from watching it. I love the show, just wanted to know if anyone else noticed?
By Alicia on October 4th, 2009 at 7:46 pmI love this show. I was out of town on business and just happened to land on the show and decided to watch it. With one episode, I became hooked. I even bought the first season to catch up! It’s fantastic. I have the entire season set up to record on the DVR so that I won’t miss a single second. I look forward to seeing what each new episode brings to the table.
By Kim on October 5th, 2009 at 6:24 amGood point Shadow, hope ya’ll read that,,,plot line, plot line, plot line. This show has that…
But being birthed into bikerdom (was always a jist from the ol’l man I was concieved in the side car of his 45) I must weigh in. It comes down to this for me,,,,
Fashion vs Practical
Fashion has been in the bike culture for as long as I can remember. Think not? Ya’ll should peep some photos of days gone by. What ever the fashion is of the time period, it’s natural, sort of.
Now for me, lean more toward practical than fashion, for others I know, vise-versa ,,,
Sneakers vs Boots.
Nothing more comfy than a pair of tennies, right? Opinions vary.
Now for the “BOOTS ARE SO/TO HEAVY!” argument.
Myself, love technology, think about it, A/C is better than wet burlap over a window on a 100 degree day anytime.
Well there has been some real leaps in the footware department. My Wolverines with safety toes only weigh a few ounces more than a pair of tennies. “AND” they are made right here in the good ol’l USA! OOOORAaa!
They offer protection, ankle support, and make for a good shin knockers when needed in a scarp. Or for an off hand cage kick,,, more than a few them running around with my autograph in the lower quater panels for crowding this ol’l scooter tramp.
Toe kick a car door in a pair of Nikies, see what ya pull back.Kick up some road debris at 60 or 70 (even faster with some bikes today) clip a curb so on and so forth. Then a pair of nice steel toed boots would be a welcomed piece of equipment.
Now if ya plan on running away! With some of the self proclaimed bikers today that are all blow and no go, running is an option often used.Have witnessed that,,,, shameful! So any New Balance wearing biker, jogger would like to do shin kick trade, bring it! You’ll need that HMO if ya do.
Add in the non-slip cushioned dura shock souls. And being am able to move pretty good in said Wolvie’s, might just be able run down the shoot & scoot type also!
Ohhh yeah.Sneakers are for the gym, B-ball court or track. Practical over fashion there.
Baggy/Sagging vs Fit vs Tight trousers.
Now fellas, tight fitting jeans belong on the ladies. Not even going to get into the reasons, just take my word for it.Binding & pinching come to mind…. Especially if you are on the chunky side! That over hang is not a fuel cell for your love gun, OK!
Baggy & Sagging
Just the flap factor while riding is enough to just say NO! For me.
A younger rider I know caught a wasp up the pant leg of his baggy britches. At first, I thought he was just replaying his favorite song in his head when he started weaving and dancing in the saddle.
But when he hit the shoulder and laid it down, I went from laughing to oh crap in a nano second. Then once we found he was OK and suffered 18 stings to his lower extremities. Being a bunch of sick biker types, went right back to laughing and tended to our downed brother of course.
There has been blenty of wasp/bee reference in his life since then. He has since gone to wearing boot cut relaxed fit wranglers while riding. Now while riding next to him, he doesn’t sound like sheets in the wind either, no more flappity flap flap! And not sure hes noticed the bee stcker placed on his jacket. But knowing him, he gets a kick out of it as well,,,,,, Oh whatdahell!
Ok, another refernce:
A long time brother that tendz to dress “more modern”,,(as he puts it) and I were splitting lanes in a traffic jam.
Me on my stripped down Shovel, he on his Pan. Now some cagers get a li’ll testy about that. Being they are stuck and you on the other hand are mobile. They will nose out and try to cut ya off, Dickheadz!
So ya have to be rather nimble. Both of us being long time riders were maneuvering pretty good. But a guy in an older modle car that had a bumber nosed out. I made it past unscaved, my partner cleared the car but his baggy britches caught the bumper and rrrrrrrrip! Not going into the part him tap dancing on the guys hood in the middle of a traffic jam. It was a sight to behold. If I only had a video phone at the time! JACKPOT!
Just another area where fashion overroad practical and lost. He too now wears better fitting jeans while riding.Still wears that sixty foot chain wallet though. (Sigh) one step at a time I guess,,,,
Oh watdahell!
Farings,,,,
Now I know a guy that knows a guy that knows a guy whos sisters brothers uncle knows a guy that uses his faring as a stash for varrious things that may be considered illeg,,,er, ah impratical to carry in view of the general populace. Even the li’l sissy farings can afford a person a bit of a stash place for say a gu,er,knif, well,um I mean peez despencer, super soaker,,,,,what ever…
I know some scream “SADDLE BAGS” , hey you try pulling a sawed off shot,,,,um I mean peez dispencer out of your saddle bags at 60! Kinda tuff! Get it?
But when it comes down to it, either way Practical or Fashion what ever floats your boat, America is a free country, sort of and if riding in baggy jeans, white tennies and a pink toto sporting a faring, even the li’l so called sissy type is your game and you have the stones to back it up. Go for it my friend, just be who you are, I’ll ride with ya,,, I may laugh a bit, and toss a few g-fa’s your way,,,, but I begrudge no person their flavor or take on life long as it doesn’t hurt anyone.
And of course all BS aside, ride safe, watch out for one another and don’t take any crap from anyone!
By Base on October 5th, 2009 at 7:46 amhas anyone seen the hells angels in canada latley?they where sneakers levis and clean cut clean jackets,i have so it shows they do follow a little real world dress code if you want to call it that….
By jeff on October 5th, 2009 at 8:53 ami can t believe all the chat about those stupid shoes…there are way bigger f**k ups than the stupid shoes…but who cares i love the show even with it’s lil mistakes. its nice to have somethin different to watch i am tired of all this reality CRAP!!I still don’t see the Tara thing.dont like her for the part AT ALL! bring Adrianna back!!(ya i know its her name on a dif show)
By #1jaxfan on October 5th, 2009 at 9:28 amLet the cast of SOA who only recently learned to ride learn a few things the hard way…tennis shoes can be melted, ripped to shreds and/or fall off easily. Old Skool bikers know that boots are the only way to go if you ride most every day. The dress code of today’s “young guns” is amusing to older riders. Baggy pants fill with wind and can get caught on pegs and such. Riding in shorts ENDS after your first bad case of road rash…it’s all about live and learn. I am still at a loss as to why they think white rick rack is an acceptable adornment for a leather vest? Even Elvis would not have done that!?!?! WTF?
As this cast gets more used to riding, I think they themselves might demand wardrobe adjustments. HELMETS…well, here in Cali it is a law we had forced on us and despite the safety factor most of us older riders still hate them but we hate tickets and jail even more.
It is a great show..very entertaining despite promoting every negative cliche about bikers. As a biker rights advocate I should be pissed but I watch every week. They DO touch on some of the best parts of the life-style…brother-hood, love of riding, community service. They of course mainly focus on the dark side but that is what sells a TV show. No one would watch a H.O.G. fund raiser run week after week would they?
By "Hollister" Christy on October 5th, 2009 at 12:24 pmThis the best show to hit the UK in….er….EVER!
I ride in a bike club, and this is as real as I’ve seen.
S*** like putting your fones in a box entering the clubhouse….Excellent!
The actors, although maybe well known in the US, are unknowns here, (with the exception of Ron Perlman), but each are believable characters.
I can’t wait for each episode to air, and I have not been this excited since, well, I’ll leave that to your imaginations!!
Keep up the excellent work guys,

THIS SHOW ROCKS!!!! love the bikes,
JAX is the HOTTEST!!! thing on tv right now, great actor too……
, when is the suspence coming???? we are waiting……………… lorena
By lorena on October 6th, 2009 at 6:15 pmAwesome street brawl in tonights episode…and Gemma busting Tara’s nose LMAO!!! My boyfriend are long-time harley riders are are insanely addicted to this show!!! I need to get out and buy season 1 on dvd…Wondering when Gemma will get off her ass tho and hit those A@$holes in the head who raped her…kinda wondering also where Ope’s head is sitting either with Jax or Clay…Gonna be a great season 2 ADDICTED I SAY!!!!!!!!!!!!
By Lorrie on October 6th, 2009 at 8:38 pmSOA is the most awesome, interesting show on tv right now. I hope it stays this way for a long time. My two favorite characters are Jax and Gemma!
Jax - I think he looks great the way he is. Love his character. He’s got balls yet wants to take the club in a new direction. One where he and Tara can have a life together. As for Tara…even thought she is kinda plain, opposites attract. Hot sexy biker and plain doctor….chemistry & history. They were together 10 years ago. Their love for one another will never die. You can’t put Jax with some porn actress or biker chick, it too predictable.
Gemma - The glue of the MC. She’s big, bad ass mamma bear. She’s raw, in your fact, doesn’t sugar coat anything and most of all LOYAL. Love her story line. The best thing her husband/director, Kurt Sutter, did was have her keep the gang rape to herself. That created a great story line. She’s doing her part to protect the MC. Which in turn creates mounting turmoil within herself. This will ensure the ultimate revenge against Zorbell and the White Hate.
Clay - the president of the MC. Seems like everyone else does his dirty work for him. Still love him though and his cool attitude. I think he is going to try and turn Opie against Jax. Hope this doesn’t happen. Maybe Opie will get close to Clay to find out the truth. I know Jax’s father died being drug by a truck/semi, but what if Clay had something to do with his death? Maybe because Clay knew John Teller wanted to take the club in a new direction, and put the hit out on him just like Opie. Food for thought. This might make a great story line in later seasons.
Unser - Love him. Great informant. Loyal to the club.
Hale - Not sure who’s side he’s on. Would love to see him swing the same way as Unser. He’s got to because when Unser dies from his cancer, there still has to be order in the town and on SAMCRO’s side.
Wendi - is a junky. Don’t like her at all. Keep her away from Jax.
Love this show! Keep up the awesome writing. Looking forward to next episode. Looks like the club is going to half to overturn the decision to wait for more intel for their retaliation against Zorbell after the unforeseen explosion. Cliff hanger…….
By Lisa on October 7th, 2009 at 8:04 amUgh, please! Enough already about the white shoes, baggy pants, and fairings. This has been going on since the first episode of season 1. They did extensive research for this show. Sutter and Charlie Hunnam spent time with Cali MC’s and they have several technical advisors. Most of the guys in Cali MC’s under 30 years old wear baggy pants and white shoes. The fairings are also characteristic of Cali MC’s. It’s not gonna change, get over it!
Also, enough about Opie already. Opie is lost right now and needs the club more than ever. Last year his loyalty was in question b/c of Donna constantly pulling him away. Now, he feels like it’s all he has so he’s throwing himself into it to prove he’s 100% in. And who does he have to prove that to? Clay. It’s called a story line. How it works itself out is one of the key plot lines of the season and makes his character interesting.
Since it’s asked on every episode blog - SAMCRO stands for Sons of Anarchy Motorcycle Club, Redwood Original
As for last night’s episode….
I told you Hale would back away from Zobelle once he found out about Gemma. Hale is also a bit lost. He’s trying to figure out the best way to handle things. He’s wants everything to be black & white to the letter of the law, but he’s finding out more and more that life doesn’t work that way. There are shades of gray that he is uncomfortable with which also makes him one of the most interesting characters on the show.
I found the Unser/Hale conversation telling. Unser obviously carries guilt for his connection to the MC, most notably Clay. I wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up sticking it to Clay somehow on his way out as a some sort of vindication. Nothing major like killing him, but something to make Unser feel like he got a small piece of his soul back.
Gemma reading the burnt up copy of John Teller’s book - Not sure where this will go. Is Gemma rethinking things or is this just a temporary lapse until she gets her confidence back? Yet another interesting plot point.
The club vote - I think both Clay and Jax are right. They do need to retaliate now, but they can’t just go in guns blazing b/c Zobelle will be ready so when they do he will get the evidence he needs to send them all to jail like he did with other MC Jax talked about in a previous episode. Bottom line, they need to act now, but they need to be smart. Chibs getting blown up pushes the time table. They can’t just sit around and let Zobelle continue to assault them. I can see Clay and Jax putting their differences aside (for now) and coming together for the good of the club to deal with this. Next week’s episode should be a good one!
By Free on October 7th, 2009 at 8:13 amJust wanted to let the cast and crew know that this show is amazing. I started watching season 2 and went straight out and bought season 1. I’m addicted!!! Gemma is the most interesting female character I’ve seen on TV in a while. She has many flaws but she is one tough lady!!!
By Nicole on October 7th, 2009 at 6:52 pmI’m anxious to find out how Jax and Tara make their relationship work. It seems like something will tear them apart.
Is Paul Tuttle senior from the chopper company ever going to make a appearance on the show?? I think that would be freaking awesome. Plus I hope that Opie beats the crap out the A**wipe that killed his wife. Then he can blow his damn brains out all over the place really really soon !!!!

Seen every episode.
But every Tuesday night after it’s over. I sit and ponder the eve’s events and realize that, Kurt Sutter YOU ARE KILLING ME!!!
Absolutely fantastic writing!!
By J. C. on October 13th, 2009 at 8:26 amI agree with “jay” about the “dress code”. My hubby wears boots or sneaks on his ride. I think it looks totally hot. the character of Jax reminds me of an ex of mine with a dash of my husband. LOVE IT! And his jeans and sneaks are actually hot.
I also got hooked this new season and have been catching up on season 1. At first i didn’t like the “tara”, but i see it now & hope that when the secret about Gemma comes out that it doesnt tear them apart.
Well, i’ve always had a thing for bad boys with heart and this show is my new #1!!!!
