Son of Anarchy
Season Two, Episode 202
Recap: “Small Tears”
We open on the aftermath of Gemma’s brutal attack. On an anonymous tip, Unser finds her and gets her out of there. Not wanting to go to the hospital, too many questions, Gemma reaches out to Tara. She is adamant with Unser and Tara that NO ONE can find out about this, especially Clay or Jax. They both agree to keep her secret and begin building the lie of a car accident to account for her injuries.
Post-welcome home party, Clay gets an early call from Alverez and finds out about Jax’s play, putting the Mayan body on the Niners. Clay reaches out to Laroy telling him that the Mayans are looking to get bloody and ensure Laroy that their business arrangement is once again exclusive.
Meanwhile, Jax finds out that Luann’s porno studio has been raided, her assets seized and she needs help from the club. Luann explains to Jax that Georgie Caruso, (Tom Arnold) a sleaze bag porn producer, is making a play for her girls and she needs the 50k she lent SOA to hang on to her talent. Jax tells her that there’s no money, but he will back Caruso off. The crew heads to Caruso Films to warn Georgie to leave Luann alone. Georgie doesn’t take kindly to Jax’s threats and takes his frustrations out on one of Luann’s stars, Lyla (Winter Ave Zoli). When Jax and the crew find out what Georgie did to Lyla, they come at him hard and fast with a little baseball bat fun. After trashing Georgie’s studio, Jax comes up with a brilliant idea.
At the table, Jax presents the club with his solution to their money and ATF problems: Porn. Luann needs a space and some muscle; they need an honest, above board means of income. The club votes, porn is in. Jax heads off to tell Luann the news while the rest of the club makes a gun delivery to Laroy.
The exchange with the Niners, guns for money, is hijacked by the Mayans. Bobby takes a bullet in the shoulder as the Mayan’s take off with the Niners’ guns. Tara is called in to attend to Bobby as Jax returns and is confronted by Clay – your decision to place the blame on the Niners almost killed one of your brothers. The reality of it all hits Jax as he escapes to the rooftop for some air. The episode comes to a close as Jax and Gemma, who’s dealing with her own tragedy, sit on the roof silently looking over their kingdom.

Can hardly wait to see how Gemma handles this.
By cali patti on September 9th, 2009 at 12:08 pmIf the skateboard scene was an indication,
otta’ be good.
Nanny was mentioned in club house but no intro.
i cant remember wat SAMCRO stands for someone help please!!
By Jen on September 9th, 2009 at 12:56 pmSAMCRO = Sons of Anarchy Motorcycle Club Redwood Original…the preview said she wasnt going to tell clay she was raped she is gonna have the sherif make it look like a car accident.
By Melanie on September 9th, 2009 at 1:18 pmOMG. I watched it again last night. Never saw a bike gang with so much heart. The R. scene was so hard to watch yet they really didn’t show a lot, just let you imagine the act. That’s what good tv is about you don’t have to show all the vilonce to know it’s going on. Gemma’s character could have only been played by such a great actress. I’m hooked for the ride.
By P De on September 9th, 2009 at 3:47 pmI still cant wait now for next weeks show to come on
By Corey on September 9th, 2009 at 4:40 pmi really didnt think this type of show would be good of FX (i was thinking of the sopranos on A&E} but i have to say they get away with alot for cable. it is violent enough to be believable and the story it top notch. theres not much on tv that suprises me but boy i didnt see that rape comming. i hope the rest of the season is as good as the 1st episode.
By eric on September 9th, 2009 at 4:47 pmI hope you guys all caught the Season 2 premiere of Sons of Anarchy! If you missed it, I found it at the website link I posted. I can’t wait for the next episode, “Small Tears.” It’s like this show has so much content for everyone - the drama, the intensity..it’s amazing! Definitely my number 1 new show
This season looks great, too, I can’t wait to figure out what it has in store.
By Daughter of Anarchy on September 9th, 2009 at 4:47 pmI’m surprised SOA didn’t get canceled. Seems like every show I think is worth watching gets canceled (FX’s “Over There” for example)really quickly and SOA is the best one I’ve seen in a LONG time. I couldn’t wait for the second season to start and holy doo doo, it started with a bang (no pun intended). I had no idea that Katey Sagal was such a great actress until I saw her on SOA last year. While the entire cast is excellent, she is amazing with her portrayal of Gemma. I wonder if she finds the wench who set cold ****ed her in a later episode. If the writers went there, then that women will have a hard time before she dies lol.
What a great show.
By Bubba on September 9th, 2009 at 5:00 pmWhen the show first came out I wasn’t drawn to it right off the back. One of my guy friends made me watch a re-run few weeks back and I’ve been inlove ever since. I love all the characters but Opie’s story has stuck out the most to me. I just realized who the actor is. He looks so different. I am so glad that Katey plays the mom, she kicks ass. She is the type of woman to look up to- even if it seems she has deep secrets. Again, can not say how much I love this show. I agree with Bubba’s comment, everytime I get into a show it gets canceled because no one else is watching. Not the case here
. Only down fall is this seems like the type of show where a lot of cast members die and get replaced a lot. I hope that is not the case. Just add people-dont take away! Especially not OPIE, HALF SACK, or GEMMA, oh and bring back Tarryn character pllleeeaassseee!
By amanda on September 9th, 2009 at 9:20 pmHalf sack needs to be full patched ASP. The boy sure is funny and have a lot of heart.
Jax seems to be losing his way. Like him better on the first season…
Opie is my favorite.
By Dan on September 9th, 2009 at 10:03 pmLooking forward to next week… I can already tell its going to be like Christmas every freaking week!
Amanda made a good point… as much as I’d personally like to see a handful of people on the show die, you don’t want to make the show stale by killing everyone off…
Bubba - Amen to that. Over There was an amazing show. My buddies and I use to have “showing parties” every week for that show… I hope SOA stays on much longer… SOA is the only reason why I’m watching TV again, seriously…
By ElDiablo on September 9th, 2009 at 10:32 pmin response to dan
By lightninjack on September 9th, 2009 at 10:56 pmhalfsack is funnier than hell… when he walked back in on clay and gemma to ask if she was serious about him joining in, i thought i was gonna fall out of my chair…
actually, i see jax getting stronger, as in he came up with the deal with the irish, and all clay could do was go along with it, because the membership loved the idea
To be real people do die in the life. Thats why its not for every one. Someone in SOA will die and Kurt Sutter will have everyone all emotional again some angry sad crying etc.Now thats some good story tellen. What a great show, to all the nit pickers out there colors in cages etc, shut up and just enjoy the show.
By Trip on September 10th, 2009 at 6:58 amWhy were they trying to kill Opie at the end of season one and ended up killing his wife? I missed season one, starting watching replays in the summer and got hooked.
By Scotty on September 10th, 2009 at 7:02 amIs anyone paying attention ? the season opener has Henry Rollins (ultra LEFTY playing a white supremist) and SINCE WHEN is not wanting all kids to get trophys a racist thing,
By SKI on September 10th, 2009 at 7:11 amHow about the premis that a white motorcycle gang would have a beef with a white supremeist organization or that cops are liberal.
Sorry boys and girls , my favorite program has been taken by OBAMABOTS, bite me, this program sucks, i’m gone
Gemma is going to look for God in the next few episodes. I’d put money on it. She has been so Antichrist in the last few episodes I can just see it. As for Jax and Opie… they both rock! I also agree with the rest of you that think Half Sac is hilarious and should be let in already! Tigs creepy. Clay is losing ground. And the guys that raped Gemma should have their balls cut off like the other rapiest. Just a few of my thoughts if anyone cares!
By Kel on September 10th, 2009 at 8:28 amSo what’s up? Why isn’t the show on OnDemand? U Suk!
By U Suk on September 10th, 2009 at 9:37 amI think season two will be even more action packed and suspenseful than season one. This thing w/ the white supremacy group is going to get UGLY!!! I think the big questions from season one will still go unanswered this season. Will be interesting to see what details are revealed from Clay & Gemma’s past history. I think they had something to do w/ John Teller’s death. Keep on rockin SOA!!!
By Brian on September 10th, 2009 at 11:09 amI’m so glad I have Tivo!!! I was absolutely blown away by the 1st episode of season 2. I have an open mind on what is going to happen this year. From the previews, it looks to be more violent, and more complex. Yes!!!
By Lady110 on September 10th, 2009 at 11:56 amHalf-sack should definitely get his pacth…eventually. It would be fun to see him have to do something really wild to get his top rocker, but then there should be some kind of “death of his innocence” to get his patch, like finally having to wack someone. Brian, I agree, Gemma and Clay definitely had something to do with John Teller’s death. Jax finding that out will blow the show wide open!
By Scooter on September 10th, 2009 at 12:50 pmBrian and Scooter -
I totally agree that Clay and Gemma had to have a ton to do with John Teller’s death. From little comments made by Clay, Gemma, and Tig over season one, this has got to be the case. It seems that John’s book “The Life and Death of SAMCRO” was written about the time he died, so maybe he was fighting to change the club’s focus, and Clay and Gemma didn’t support him…
U Suk - The episode should be On Demand this coming Monday, like usual.

By Meli on September 10th, 2009 at 4:10 pmYour gone SKI??? good you sound like a goof anyway its just a TV show get a fuc*ken grip will ya
By Trip on September 10th, 2009 at 8:08 pmthis is the best show on t.v. somebody please get the emmy ready for katy sagal
By tracy on September 10th, 2009 at 10:04 pmI love this show and couldn’t wait for it to return but that rape scene with Jemma I think was a little disturbing. Both my husband and I thought that whole scene was uncalled for and could have been handled differently. It’s not that we don’t like the over-the-top quality of the show because it’s on cable but some things are just too much. We have watched every episode of both The Shield and Rescue Me so the pushing the envelope of tv is fine. Some things are just wrong. I guess we’ll see the reason for that scene in the coming episodes.
By diane on September 11th, 2009 at 6:49 amShow is amazing. “Tig” is complex, would like to glimpse the soft underbelly of his mind. Watch for clues hidden in story line for “shocks”;i.e. “I’m sorry mame.” at the party just before supremisit leaves party.
By LadyH on September 11th, 2009 at 8:49 amSOA is so great my boyfriend and I are TRULY addicted!!!! We waited all summer for the 2nd season and I must say it was explosive!! Looking forward to the rest of season 2 and pleaseeee don’t take this show of the air it rocks!!! I agree I think Gemma and Clay had something to do with John Tellers death…the rape scene was well not expected to me anyways but it added more drama to the show can’t wait to see how Gemma handles it…and dang it let prospect in already!!! Jax is my fav on the show so hot and very hard-core yet gentle…wanting to see if Ope ever finds out who really set up the hit that killed his wife.
By Lorrie on September 11th, 2009 at 9:11 amI think the episode was really worth waiting. And I can’t wait to see eps 2! I think Jax is getting so much stronger since the first season but he still struggles with what’s the right thing to do or not, when it comes to Opie. And I think the whole fact that he lied to Opie bout the killer is gonna ruin their friendship when Opie’s gonna find out bout it. And I think that Jax will get better and stronger cus now that Tara is there for him, he’ll be fine.
And I think that Gemma exactly knows who raped her cus u could see the black&red tattoo on his neck, and u saw her looking at it. Plus he called her ma’am, remember the nazi guy stepping inside the car after they we’re talking to Clay bout their plan. He said excuse me ma’am when Gemma stood in front of him. Gemma will be fine she is such a strong woman, I’d be worried bout the guys who did that to her cus they’ll pay for it.
Amazing show keep it up!!! And don’t get canceled !!
By S. on September 11th, 2009 at 9:35 amI wouldn’t mind seeing Half Sack find out about Gemma somehow, and helping Gemma out, and gets his patch for it. That would be kinda cool.
Cant think of a better actor for a white supremacist than Henry Rollins.. excellent choice! I plan around SoA’s Schedule
-Gonz
By Gonzo on September 11th, 2009 at 9:58 amOpie will eventually discover who killed his wife, but in the mean time, it seems like he may be siding w/ Clay. Did anyone catch that from the preview for episode two? Anyway, from last year’s interview w/ Kurt and Charlie, there is apparently a lot of history background to be revealed about Clay & Gemma’s relationship. Also, watch for medical conditions to play a part in some of these characters. Gemma and Jax both have a heart condition that his brother died from. Henry Rollins is perfect for this show, man he looked pyscho in that first episode.
By Brian on September 11th, 2009 at 10:12 amI am so hooked to this show. I have the first season on DVD and cant wait to see how Kemma handles her attackers on the next show. I think there should have been another way to send a message to the Sons besides going after Jemma….. but we will see the reason in the next shows I hope. I was even more intriqued by the show due to the fact that I personally know some of the actors!!!!!! Hope to see many more series of the SOA:)
By Tiffany Ludwig on September 11th, 2009 at 12:17 pmRollins has the white neo nazi part down perfect.I know after being stab by one. lol Cant wait to see Gemma kill him and she will watch and see.
By Trip on September 11th, 2009 at 3:42 pmGemma will NOT be able to let the guilty go unpunished. She may try for a while for the sake of her infant grandson…she can’t risk going to jail. I forsee an inner conflict and then a rage that boils to the surface…castrations, brandings you name it and Gemma will want to at least watch if not do the deeds herself. I pray the baby is never in the cross fire BUT that would be the straw that breaks the camel’s back for Gemma. Roosters will be turned into hens…mark my words.
By "Hollister" Christy on September 11th, 2009 at 8:38 pmFor the love of Gawd…no biker would trim his vest with what looks to be white rick rack?!?!?!
OMG!!! I am hooked. I saw Episode One of Season 2 last week and I love it. It was so good, that I actually downloaded all of Season 1 and watched the whole thing in one night. Wow…I can’t believe that I had not seen SOA before. What was I thinking? Btw, I think one of the unlikely sources that she will turn to is Tara. Gemma hated Tara during Season 1 and I do mean hated…..
By Kat on September 11th, 2009 at 9:08 pmAny of you aware that the Creator and Head writer, of SOA,ie: Kurt Sutter, wife is: Katey Sagal ! What a trip it must have been for him to experience the rape scene! Henry Rollins is the Perfect actor for his bad ass slot. In real time, he totally supports, ANTI white supremacists groups..I,m glad he’s exposing those SICK souls so as folks can Really see how tainted their brains(?) are. And finally, Yes. Please allow half sack to earn his wings…….
By Dogwood on September 12th, 2009 at 9:19 amSo I was thinking about the preview for upcoming episodes this season and I am very troubled by the scene where Clay is playing with Abel and Henry Rollins character comes around the corner (looks like it’s at the hospital) and sees them. I mean they have already raped Gemma. You don’t think the separatists would go after Abel and do something horrible to him? If they did, they might as well stick a gun in their mouth and pull the trigger because it would be way easier than what Jax would do.
Any thoughts?
By Mary on September 12th, 2009 at 8:43 pmSKI your retarded. its called acting. charlie hunnam(jax) is british. and if i;m not mistaken theo rossi(juice) isn’t exactly white. but just because a white superatist has an opinion, doesn’t make it racist. now if he said all white kids should get trophies and black kids don’t that would be racist.
By billy on September 13th, 2009 at 12:18 pmRelax SKI… What Rollin’s character was trying to say is that America was becoming “wussified” and how action needed to be taken; in reference to the whole handing out trophies. I think the majority of us can agree that the statement Rollin’s character made is not far from the truth…
I would have to agree with everyone, half-sack should get his rocker but it would be very interesting if he has something to do with helping Gemma get back at her perpetrators, cause you know pay back is inevitable - Good call Gonzo.
Looking forward to Tuesday, can’t wait…
By ElDiablo on September 13th, 2009 at 1:58 pmSomeone needs to find a way to get James Hetfield from Metallica on this show!
By Lynn on September 13th, 2009 at 3:35 pmJame Hetfield, why???? Met him at a bike rally, real jerk. I was told some of the extras are “real” bikers, anyone have any idea with what club? I love the show!!! I am glad that for once in my life we “bikers” are shown in a not so bad light. Like they say, when we do good no one remembers, when we do bad no one forgets. I love Gemma. A lot of people don’t realize that the majority of biker chicks are tough ass bitches, i should know, lol. Love all.
By Tricky on September 13th, 2009 at 6:59 pmBrian, I also caught that Opie was siding with Clay and was wondering how that will play out with Jax’s feeling about the killing and trying to get into power. I think a lot depends on how the Clay/Gemma/Teller connections play out. I hate to analyze because there are so many little nuances that can come into play at any time that I hope the show can stay around long enough to see it all play out. I knew Katy Segal’s husband was the writer so the her being raped was the icing on the cake of what he capable of if let to keep going.
By janjill on September 13th, 2009 at 8:03 pmHurry up Tuesday!
I will miss Dayton/Wayne Unser. Think he’s good for the balance and adds great humor to the show. “Gemma is going to look for God in the next few episodes. She has been so Antichrist”. Wrong. This implies Gemma is a vague rebellious teenager trying to find her inner spiritual core. Which of course she ain’t. She doesn’t waver. In anything. Especially regarding her internal makeup/philosophy of life. Jezusss! That kinda s#!t ain’t up for swapping. - Re; Halfsack, if they retain him as a prospect for more eps, it adds that much more to the show. His prospect status allows more subplots. Rape scene? handled beautifully, editing and camerawise. Was “subtle” as much as a ‘rape scene’ can be and was nothing near ‘too much”. And yea, of course, everyone noticed it, and it’s a dead giveaway, (setting up Gemma’s revenge target) when Rollins utters sorry ma’am when they interrupt the party AND.. when he apologizes, then rapes Gemma. Har. he one dumb white supremacist. (oh. and a real MC woulda hammered arkin and his boys for trespassing on private property and crashin their party, methinks.)
By Primo Kimo on September 13th, 2009 at 11:58 pmChristy, I noticed the white trim on Bobby Elvis’s vest too. wierd. Still, he is another fave. good comedy relief while being a strong supporting character. Yep, we know Kurt and Kate are married. And it’s funny and obvious most all dialogue was written by one hand or lead at least, as everyone… I mean everyone, (except Able,) speaks in metaphors and similes and answers very indirectly if at all. It’s almost like another language. (billy, not to worry; most all of amerika is hellbent on claiming fully half they see in front of their eyes is “racist”) Re: Hetfield. good idea! I can see a non affiliated but sympathetic maybe smaller MC next town over giving the boys a hand. Hetfield could lead em…
Piney’s great, with his no bulls#!t toughlove, trying to prevent a permanent “Mopie Opie”. Glad Kone or whoever was offed. Adam arkin has not the cajones to carry this role. maybe there is rhyme and reason to the casting choice; Would love to see him try to lead, then get bulldozed over by Rollins or the next in line. (cuz Genmma’s gonna take him out). Walker/Stahl was hot s#!t on a stick. Her breathy delivery was great. Loved her last exchange with Clay. Would like to see Clay not get pist at each and everything Gemma does and says. “You stay HERE!” “You calm DOWN!” “you get a SODA!” Rivera, Pileggi and Sheridan all do fabulous work at playing sympathetic thorns in the SOA side, while displaying instinct to adapt and show restraint and side with the boys to a degree, or bend a little. Love how that is conveyed. Fully addicted to the show and watch all eps many times… Keep it up!
what the heck happened to Abels mother? is she still in rehab or something? i’m so confused? They didn’t say anything about her in the last episode?
By sl9 on September 14th, 2009 at 9:38 amRegarding the “shocking choice” Gemma is going to make in the aftermath of her brutal attack…my thinking wonders if she is actually going to turn to Darby? In episode 3 (Fun Town) of the first season, it was clear he had romantic interest in her, during their conversational exchange outside of St. Thomas. As such, I do not believe he would condone what was done to her. If he were to turn on the brotherhood or to play any kind of a part to exact revenge for her attack, it would finally demonstrate that he is not as ruthless as everybody thinks–or that he makes like a threatening chameleon but does not do his actual dirty work himself. Any thoughts?
By pilgrim1215 on September 14th, 2009 at 12:39 pmIn addition, SOA is the best dramatic television show to come across the cable airwaves in quite some time…keep up the fabulous work, Mr. Sutter, cast, and crew!
By pilgrim1215 on September 14th, 2009 at 12:41 pmI love Opie, but I don’t like that he seems to be siding with Clay (from the preview).
By Ginny on September 14th, 2009 at 7:36 pmI have loved this show since the 1st episode last year! Last week’s episode was the very best!! Did NOT see that rape scene coming, these neo-nazi’s do NOT know who they are messing with, Samcro has no qualms in killing one of their own (i.e. Opie, except Donna got killed, and possibly even John, so I can just imagine what they will do to ROllins and Arkin!! Jax is the best thing on t.v. and the main reason I watch SOA..Kurt and F/X PLEASE keep up the good work!!!! Can’t wait for tonight! BTW - Dayton Callie is great as an ailing Enser and what a good friend to Gemma!.The whole cast is superb!!Wished I had a SAMCRO jacket…
By Denise on September 15th, 2009 at 11:11 amHere is a good article to read about this season on SOA:
http://www.tvguide.com/News/Anarchy-Charlie-Hunnam-1009710.aspx?rss=breakingnews
By Mary on September 15th, 2009 at 11:28 amI am addicted to this show!! The cast is great! I did know that Katy & Kurt are married. Did you know that Kurt plays Otto (Luann’s jailed husband that beat up Agent Stahl when she tried to have him go against SAMCRO). I’m also wondering about Opie’s allegiance to Clay (from this season’s preview). I can see how some may say that Jax is getting weaker, but I also think he is getting stronger and smarter in the way he handles people and situations. Katy is AWESOME in her role as Gemma. I had never really watched anything with Ron Perlman, but he’s pretty good, too. LOVE all of the others as well - Jax, Chibs, Bobby Elvis, Juice, Half Sack and even Tig. He is crazy and intense, but I love his one liners, too. Great cast, Great show and I look forward to Tuesday nights!!
By Mari on September 15th, 2009 at 1:30 pmMari, Did NOT know Otto was played by Kurt!! Thank you for the info, I loved it when he smashed the agent’s face..Teach her to mess with SAMCRO!!Men of Mayhem!!
By Denise on September 15th, 2009 at 1:49 pmBest show on TV! Had to watch all of season 1 again to get prepared for season 2! Last weeks episode did not disappoint. It broke my heart to see the rape scence because Jemman is so proud and such a bad ass. Can’t wait to see how she handles all this cause there is no doubt she will handle it! I love me some Bikers!!!
By Debby on September 15th, 2009 at 3:18 pmHoly crap- when you click on the site you see a pictures of Henry Rollins- if you look at the tatoo below his adams apple its the one that Gemma saw when she was getting raped. I know the “maam” was a give away but I can tell you if someone raped me I would notice that tattoo because its something she stared at.
I just noticed htat- did anyone else???
By Jessica040709 on September 15th, 2009 at 3:43 pmI am becoming addicted to this show. Katy’s acting is amazing. I love Tara and Jax. Can’t wait for the next episode, looks hot.
By B on September 15th, 2009 at 8:14 pmYou have NOOO idea how addicted I am to this show! Kudos to the writers/director(s)/actors and everyone else involved! I am really digging the way Gemma and Tara’s relationship is developing…which may play a bigger role than anticipated. Opie’s depart to a new loose cannon attitude is good to see (although a litle scary), especially since most of the first season he was on the fense wayyy to much. I just hope that beating at “Georgie’s” doesn’t come back to bite him (anyone notice Op was the only one shown on that little director’s monitor?)
OH and one more thing…..I know that Tig feels guilty about Donna, but I was not expecting him to be THAT sensative. I have a feeling he may try to tell Op what happened before the seasons over.
NOW THIS IS A REAL TV SHOW!!! KEEP IT COMING!!!
NAT
P.S. Good to see Bobby back! Gotta love the crazy friend/brother!
By Nat on September 15th, 2009 at 8:51 pmGood times!!!!
Man that was a good episode. Like everyone else, I’m already looking forward to next weeks show. Good to see Gemma and Tara coming together like that
Nat - agreed, I’m curious to see what happens with Opie due to what looked like him being the only one caught on camera.
See ya next week SOA.
By ElDiablo on September 15th, 2009 at 9:19 pmYou know, I just can’t sympathize with these characters the same way I could those on the Sheild. I’m a firm believer in 2nd Amendment rights of the average citizen to bear arms but I’m also a believer in law and order and public safety. These guys sell guns to drug dealers and terrorists. Kinda end up rooting for the ATF to take them down.
By Christian on September 16th, 2009 at 4:35 amSince the first episode of Season One I thought Gemma had “the biggest balls of all”. Looks like she also has big brains. She correctly decided that the Neo-Nazis wouls “win” if she reacted to her attack as they hoped she would and she was right. No dount she is in BIG pain and it’s not just physical. She is cunning, calculating and there will be HELL to pay but it will be on HER terms. I do believe she is thinking about kharma…John Teller’s death perhaps?
By "Hollister" Christy on September 16th, 2009 at 7:36 amAbel needs her and she knows it BUT she needs to retaliate,,,it’s just a matter of time and opportunity. Kudos to Katy for her most excellent acting!
Great ep last night, though I think the porn-studio subplot we could’ve done without. It may have it’s place later on? Don’t know - but I could certainly live without it - but Bobbie puking on the body was definitely ‘good times’.
I agree with Primo Kimo, I can’t see Gemma turning to G*d, but I do see her turning to the new nanny–the woman’s nothing at stake in this other then she’s just a outside-third party…or is she? 0_o I’d **** a brick if she was fed - and I don’t **** bricks easily.
Speaking of ****, I can’t wait for it to hit the fan when Weston discovers Zobelle tipped off the Mayans [and will likely do it again]. Weston’s a true apostle and practices what he preaches; Zobelle’s showed me he’s a greedy bigot willing to compromise his racial-values for the sake of a dollar…this doesn’t bode well for the League. [not that I'm unhappy about that-these are not my favorite people...]
–as for Opie, holy hell. Even Clay and Tig must realize that a man who no longer cares if he lives or dies is the most dangerous man on the battlefield. I was sad to that sad, but if it’s where Opie has to go…
By Gynocrat on September 16th, 2009 at 8:03 amLast night’s episode was great. I love that Jemma, Tara, are Unser seem to be aligned. Katey’s acting is superb and I just cannot get enough of this show. Oh and bring on more Otto!!!
By Debby on September 16th, 2009 at 10:19 ami AM NEW TO THE SHOW>>>>Who is Abel???
By Summit SOA on September 16th, 2009 at 10:21 amAbel is Jax son… with Wendy (ex or soon-to-be ex wife). Wendy is in detox so she hasn’t been back in Season 2 yet.
By Shadow on September 16th, 2009 at 10:40 amAnybody else catch Jax reference when he’s talking to Luann… “what did you think, I brought you here to “Adrianna” you?”
Wendy, (Drea de Matteo), played Adrianna on the “Sopranos”… and she got wacked for being a rat.
VERY clever Kurt!
By Shadow on September 16th, 2009 at 10:42 amTHIS SHOW ROCKS!!!! I got season 1 on dvd and got everyone I know watching it. I have to ask if that was that Katy Sagal singing Ruby Tuesday? My man thinks I’m nuts, but I think it sounded like her. She is raw in this show. The whole cast is! Half Sac and Opie are awesome and Jax is HOT (loved is his a–, by the way)!! I too am so glad this show didn’t get cancelled. I was scared til I seen previews for season 2. It does bother me about Opie siding with Clay, however with this show you just believe everyone gets whats coming to them in time and it will be worth the wait. Even the blond B—h with the choking baby. My boyfriend is already wanting the jacket like thiers! The way it’s spreading in popularity hopefully it stay on the air.
By Penny on September 16th, 2009 at 2:00 pmI am so excited that I am not the only one that thinks this show is amazing! Can’t get enough!
By Erika Lannington on September 16th, 2009 at 2:56 pmWendy (Drea Mateao, is the new neighbor on Desperate Housewives) and about last night’s episode, I think this lie will tear JAx and Tara apart when he finds out she lied to him, after all this is his mother and Gemma told Tara last week…full disclosure..even if Gemma begged Tara NOT to tell, she went along with the lie, this will come back and bite her in the butt…also, Henry Rollins only signed on for 6 episodes so he is on countdown for the “Club” to issue justice for Gemma’s attack..
By Denise on September 16th, 2009 at 3:01 pmALso, it was Katey Sagal singing Ruby Tuesday and she is awesome
By Denise on September 16th, 2009 at 3:06 pmI think your right about Jax getting mad over Tara not telling, but it’s not a show without drama hopefully it will not be the end for them though. I wasn’t crazy about her at first, but I guess I am getting used to her and I love how she helped Gemma. I knew that was Katey singing. She’s is AWESOME. She is my favorite on the show. Thanks Denise for the reply. I had to show my boyfriend I was right.
By Penny on September 16th, 2009 at 3:56 pmokay first may i say, i believe jax has come a long way. i am so proud of him, and his yummmmy abs hehehehe. anywho, i feel like clay is becoming enemy number one. and opie and half sack…BRILLANT! i must say i am waiting for gemma to up and dismember those rapist with chainsaws and momentarily borrow jax’s bat and shove it up their asses. secondly, the thought of the samcro running porn, beautiful just gorgeous:) i can only picture jax and opie sitting on a directors chairs sitting watching so intently and nodding their heads like true directors HA. so to sum it up soa season 2 is gonna kick more ass then when gemma found out about clays cheatin’ ways
By dani d on September 16th, 2009 at 4:08 pmTig rocks! He is so sick, sensitive and hilarious at the same time, what a great character. I just love him - remember the warehouse/doll scene last season? HA! Can’t wait till Gemma gets her revenge. That’s gonna be good. Definitely think Clay & Gemma had something to do with John Teller’s death. This is the best show on TV!!!!!!!!!!! Shadow, thanks for explaining the “Adrianna” remark.
By Kris on September 16th, 2009 at 11:12 pmShadow -
Thanks for the explanation of the “Adrianna” comment. It has been driving me batty (”How can you tell?” yeah, yeah) since Tuesday. Very, very funny Mr. Sutter.
Love the show, the writing, acting, music are superb!
SOA Rocks!

By Meli on September 18th, 2009 at 5:55 amSo how did Zobell know to tip off the Myans to the gun drop location? I know AJ was scoping out the club members(pics at the gas station, visit to the hospital) but when/who did he get the info from?
By Brewhalady on September 18th, 2009 at 12:16 pmIs that Katy singing “Ruby Tuesday” at the beginning of the episode Small tears?..
By lisa scherer on September 18th, 2009 at 12:47 pmshe has a terrific voice.
I am reading about Tara lying to Jax about Gemma, but isn’t Jax lying to Opie. What will his reaction be, remember we picked up season two 3 weeks after Donna was killed. The only thing Jax has is Piney to confirm, should be enough. I also think Bobby will play a big roll for Jax, every week Jax comes up with another good money making idea. It will come down to gang mentality or club mentality. Who do you think is gang, or who is club? Good show, Kurt well done, enjoy the action and drama, set in the MC life. Goodbye Peggy Bundy, Hello Gemma Teller-Morrow.
By MC pony express 30% on September 18th, 2009 at 12:48 pmI think someone in SOA is a rat for for Zobelle…In the reviews, when the flatbed is backing into the house, the interior scene, you briefly see an SOA cut in the foreground but you cannot tell who it is! This is going to dig deep into the club I’m afraid…I did love the Sopranos reference Jax used with Luann…Right on Kurt! I also found it interesting when Gemma stopped as was looking at John Teller’s bike in the clubhouse…maybe second thoughts about her past actions and the direction the club is going? Makes you think…but that’s what this show does best…
Ride safe my brothers and sisters
By Hawkeye on September 18th, 2009 at 9:18 pmHawkeye,
I too saw an SOA member (thought it looked like Tig) sitting in the house when the flatbed plowed through. Not sure if it was planned or if there is a rat among SOA. It will be interesting to see what happens.
Gemma looking at John Teller’s bike looked like she has regrets about what her and Clay did to him (maybe?). Can’t wait to find out if the truth about John Teller’s death will come out this season.
By Mary on September 19th, 2009 at 2:24 pmLOVE Jax… love Gemma… starting to like Tara… The plot is thickening and I can’t stand it! Come on Tuesday!!!! GREAT new show (finally)!
By Claire on September 21st, 2009 at 12:17 pmKaty Sagal should get an Emmy for sure. Good Lord that woman can act! I wonder too about Gemma getting pregnant from the rape; that was the first thing I thought when she asked Tara about being on the pill. The question just seemed to come out of nowhere.
And Opie will find out; a lie that big can’t stay hidden for long. Same for Gemma’s rape; she can’t hide it from Clay forever. Keeping those secrets sets up a very interesting juxtaposition that makes the show so enthralling to watch. At the same time Gemma is talking about the need for total disclosure, everyone closest to her including Gemma herself are hiding big dark secrets.
And I want to see Half Sack play a bigger role; he’s a character with the potential to develop a lot more and provides the opportunity to show just how crappy the life of a prospect can be. Why does he want to be a member of SAMCRO and does he want it bad enough to do what it takes to get his patch? I was hoping last season when stole the ambulance, that he would get a little more cred with the club when it turned out that the ambulance turned out to be a solution to a problem.
By Hubcap on September 21st, 2009 at 1:43 pmMan I love this show big fan but like any other. Show has it’s down falls I resently got a soa t-shirt and like any other shirt I wore it out to a local strip club as I was having a good time with some friends 3 guys aproched me and asked me were I was from I looked at him and said WTF well long story short guy tells me about the soa shirt I had on that it was a disrepect to the biker community to have it on I was like WTF he said it was jest to let me know that some people take it the wrong way when thay see that **** I was like thanks come to know him better he was from a bike gang called the mongels and from what I’ve seen on ganglife about them I was like WTF when he told me i turnd my shirt in side out jest out of respect but jest a worning to any one that has a shirt jest be cairlfull
By Daniel on September 22nd, 2009 at 12:43 amSo, gotta question. Missed the beginning of the 1st season and was trying to watch thru stream. Has there been one or 2 episodes of season 2? I’m a bit confused. The only one that this site will let me watch all the way thru is the one where Gemma gets raped.
By Ms. Beck on September 22nd, 2009 at 7:31 amSorry, meant to type 2nd season.
By Ms. Beck on September 22nd, 2009 at 7:32 amMs. beck that is season 2 episode 1
By MC PonyExpress on September 22nd, 2009 at 4:29 pmDaniel, JUST to let you know never wear a club shirt to a strip bar, even a fictional club.
By SAMCRO on September 22nd, 2009 at 4:33 pmDaniel, you’re a lucky man… it could have gone down a lot worse for you.
and its Motorcycle Club, never “bike gang”.
By Jake Ryder on September 22nd, 2009 at 5:22 pmi can not stop watching, but i can’t tell anyone. no way will i admit to it. i find it hard to believe the subculture is authentic though, cause we are not allowed to see it. so we can’t compare, are they that clean?
By hrazaa on September 23rd, 2009 at 9:02 amlots of showering
By hrazaa on September 23rd, 2009 at 9:02 amI love the show. I watch it every season with my husband. I love the characters of Clay and Gemma, althiugh last nights show broke my heart when Clay got done by another woman! I always thought he was the most old school besides Jacks!! Someone in the bunch, at least one needs to have morals!! I hope he’ll at least come clean with Gemma and never do it to her again!!
By Bootsie on September 23rd, 2009 at 9:13 amClay banged another chick last season too…he’s a biker…he’s in a club…you’ll have that. Here is what I want to know, when she was in the clubhouse after the attack and she walked down the hall, did she pause in front of JT’s bike and miss him a little? Or was that just me? Maybe Gemma is gonna be the “good” mamma from now on?
By Bro-ette on September 23rd, 2009 at 9:19 amUh, I hope Gemma doesn’t turn to god this season. It would be so cliche. Gemma’s character is a strong minded, strong willed person and if she turns to the religious crutch it would weaken her IMO. She simply needs to get over it in a few episodes, toughen up, and push through it so she can plot her revenge. That is her character. Not someone who needs to turn to god. If she does go down the religious path, hopefully, it will be short lived.
FYI - “Happy” is a real biker and creative consultant for the show. He’s one of my favorite characters. Hope he stays involved.
As for Jax getting stronger or weaker, both views are correct. He is getting more bold in challenging Clay’s authority but is being passive aggressive as well since he is not directly calling him out. I think he’s committed to changing things but is still searching for the best way to do it. Clay was right when he said if the club feels like Jax is making it personal between them that the club will turn on Jax. It looks like Jax will be finding his way through at least the first few episodes, maybe half the season before things really come to a head for him and Clay.
It’ll be interesting to see what happens b/c Sutter kind of has to have it come to a head. I can see Jax and Clay coming together over Gemma’s rape (you know they are going to find out sooner or later). But, if this happens, what does Jax do then? Does he fall in line and abandon his father’s manuscript? If Jax officially challenges Clay and dethrones him what happens then? I can’t imagine the club will allow Clay & Tig to be members or even live knowing they killed Opie’s wife.
Also, what happens to Piney if Jax reconciles with Clay? He’s not going to let it go. When this ends either Clay and Tig or Piney and Opie will be dead or out of the club.
As for Opie siding with Clay, he’s just trying to hold on to what he needs which is the club right now and Clay is the head guy. Remember how wishy washy he was in season one b/c Donna wanted him out of the club. If he knew about Donna, he would side with Jax. Interesting thing about Opie though is that he’s totally hard core. He’s more like Clay and Tig (killing is the first, and only, response to a threat) than Jax who is far more cerebral.
Another interesting little wrinkle is Tara keeping Gemma’s secret from Jax whom she’s insisted on full disclosure from.
By Free on September 23rd, 2009 at 11:52 amOMG, one of the “BEST” shows on TV today. It is so hard to say how real the actors make the characters come to life with every episode of SOA. So real and hypnotic, I am always at the edge of my seat, and waiting for more. All of the actors are great. WOW
By CrazyJohn on September 23rd, 2009 at 7:03 pmwatching this ep a few times on Hulu. noticed the foley artist gave opie’s gun a much lower, more bass-ey sound. ominous and quite effective.
Free, good info on “Happy”. tanx fo dat. like to see more of David in future eps.
